Avicom Japan was founded in September 1989 with the backing of Japan Airlines, All Nippon Airways, the NTT Group, and KDDI to provide Aviation Carrier Radio Access System (ACARS), which connects aircraft and the ground.
Since then, we have been providing information and communication-based services to the Japanese aviation industry under the philosophy of “providing services centered on information and communication to ensure aviation safety, ensure that customers can enjoy safe and comfortable air travel, and contribute to the development of aviation.” In addition, from fiscal year 2023, we have started sharing check-in system equipment at domestic airports and began rolling out new services, thereby supporting Japan’s “sky” through the provision of a wide range of services in the aviation field.
Aviation is an important social infrastructure, which moves people and goods and connects regions to regions, as well as Japan to the world. Its role is becoming increasingly important. We will continue to take on challenges to create new value for the next generation with our high-quality service, in order to realize a society in which everyone can travel Japan’s “sky” safely, securely, and comfortably.
